How does the skill radar work?

Where does the data come from?

From the active IT job listings on Jobriver. For each technology we count how many listings currently require it – that is the demand.

How is the monthly trend built?

At each month change we freeze the ranking. The time series is built from these monthly snapshots. The current month is always shown with live values.

What does “share" mean?

Instead of the absolute job count, the share mode shows what percentage of the total tracked demand a technology represents. This reveals shifts independent of overall market growth.

How are risers and fallers calculated?

We compare the current month's demand with the previous month. The biggest percentage increase or decrease defines the rankings.

Why do I only see the top technologies?

The radar focuses on the most-requested skills so the picture stays meaningful. Very rarely required technologies have too little data for reliable trends.

How current are the figures?

The current demand comes directly from the currently active listings and updates continuously – no outdated annual study.

What does the “New" badge mean?

A technology has newly entered the top list and was not present in the previous month – often a sign of an emerging trend.

Can I search for a technology?

Yes. Click a skill in the ranking to see all matching open positions directly.
