Terms of use of Jobriver

These terms of use ("Terms of Use") govern the use of the internet platform Jobriver.de ("Platform") by job seekers and employers (together referred to as "Users"). By using the platform, users agree to these terms of use.
1. Registration and user accounts
1.1 Using some features of the platform requires registration. Users are obliged to provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering.
1.2 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details. They may not share their login details with third parties.
1.3 Users are responsible for ensuring that their information is up to date. They must update changes to their user accounts without delay.
2. Use of the platform
2.1 Users undertake to use the platform only for lawful purposes and not to publish any content that violates applicable law, public morals or these terms of use.
2.2 Users are solely responsible for the content they publish on the platform. The platform assumes no liability for the accuracy or completeness of this content.
3. Data protection and security
3.1 Users agree that their personal data may be processed in accordance with the platform's privacy policy.
3.2 Users are responsible for keeping their login details and personal data secure and preventing unauthorised access.
4. Job listings and applications
4.1 Employers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the job listings they publish.
4.2 Job seekers are themselves responsible for the content of their applications and should not publish sensitive personal information in their applications.
4.3 All job listings and content published on the platform are generally addressed to people of any gender (m/f/d), origin, age and identity. If multiple gender-specific language forms are not used simultaneously in job titles or texts, or the (m/f/d) suffix is not explicitly stated, this is done solely for better readability and has no discriminatory intent. Employers are obliged to comply with the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) when creating job listings. For more information, see our statement on equality and diversity.
5. Changes and termination
5.1 The platform reserves the right to change these terms of use at any time. Users will be notified of changes.
5.2 Users can terminate their user accounts at any time by informing the platform.
6. Liability
6.1 The platform assumes no liability for the actions or omissions of users. Users are solely responsible for their actions on the platform.
6.2 The platform is not liable for losses or damages arising from the use of the platform, unless it acts with gross negligence or intent.
7. Jurisdiction and applicable law
7.1 The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these terms of use is Düsseldorf. In all other cases, the platform or the user may bring an action before any legally competent court.
8. Miscellaneous
8.1 Should any provision of these terms of use be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
8.2 The platform is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
