They monitor performance, perform backups, implement security measures and ensure the high availability of business-critical databases. Their work is essential to ensure that applications can access data at all times. The requirements profile includes in-depth knowledge of one or more database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL. Experience in backup and recovery strategies, replication, clustering, performance monitoring and capacity planning is at the core of the job.
