UI designers focus on the visual design of user interfaces and create aesthetically pleasing, consistent and brand-appropriate digital experiences. They create layouts, define colour palettes and typography, design icons and illustrations and create design systems that ensure a consistent visual language across all touchpoints. The demand for UI designers with a strong visual flair and technical understanding is growing steadily, with career opportunities ranging from Junior UI Designer to Senior UI Designer to UI Lead or Design Director.
