UX Designer – Job Profile & Salary Prospects

UX designers create user experiences that are intuitive, efficient and enjoyable. They research user needs, create wireframes and prototypes, conduct usability tests and work closely with development teams to ensure that digital products meet and exceed user expectations. Core competences include user research methods such as interviews, surveys and personas, information architecture, interaction design and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD. Knowledge of usability heuristics, accessibility standards and design thinking are also important. A degree in design, psychology or human-computer interaction provides an ideal foundation, although career changers with a strong portfolio are also welcome.
